And with that I would have, ahem - in my opinion, the no bullshit perfect L ambo, dude. I mean, seriously, 80's supercars/sports cars kind of missed out on that whole flat black murdered out paint job thing. Now If we can only fix that 8 city/10 highway MPG rating.

8 to 10 mpg is pretty optimistic. The on e I drove for 7  months did about 3- 4. 5 was doable if I took it easy on the highway. Gas was chrap then. Though i t did ralu n like a sewing machine. Never had an issue out of it. Webers ftw!

The picture was the only one in B&W that remotely looked flat in color. The wingfs really didn’t do anything at all on those though. Now, either all the wings or none of the wings on an early lp400 is the way to go for me.

Please tell us more about your 7 month experience. Was it yours? Or...not?

those wings were one of THE most important parts. they made the driver at least THINK that they were helping keep the car on the ground...... and the wings looked good on posters too.......

Kinja'd!!!

it was a wing arms race between porsche, ferrari, and lamborghini, and lambrghini had TWO............

it was the full on poster race car. I had a trapper keeper with a winged lambo. I remember the prices on them reached below 100k not long ago and then went nuts. i’ll never have a chance now. (Although I may have a shot at a 3.8 e-type in a few years) But, I’m worried about buying something like that or the jag and then really finding myself in a shit hole of car repair doom.

dont worry about the hole of car repair doom......... if you get REAL hard up, you can always LS swap it, until you can grind out the funds to put it back right..... just getting to cruise around the block IN your dream car is inspiration to finish them......... worst that could happen is that you get to be the guy who got to get the last good out of an amazing car......

its “motivation” in and of itself.... some of that “cant let someone see the car like this”, but i JUST want to drive the thing......  good ol’ bellybutton ls swaps......

My uncle has a 64 convertible. Has a T5 adapted swap in it so he has synchro on all gears now. That means anything that can mate to a t5 can work until the OG engine get’s freshened. Hmm....

Now for the lambo......hmm
